Dear clients, greetings to you! It is with great pleasure to meet you on this platform. This is XinOu Wei, a violinist based in New York. As a violinist, I have played in all prominent New York concert halls-as well as in Berlin, Paris, Hamburg, London, Lucerne (with the London Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle), and have worked with the greatest conductors on earth, such as Sir Simon Rattle, and Riccardo Chailly. I have performed in private recital for Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and H.R.H. Princess Madeleine, as well as leading at America-Israel Cultural Foundation's 75th Anniversary Gala Celebration at Lincoln Center in New York, hosted by Itzhak Perlman. As a recitalist and chamber musician, I have performed with some of the foremost musicians of our day, such as James Ehnes and David Aaron Carpenter at Carnegie Hall.

I have made my home in New York since 2011, and since then have led numerous orchestras as concertmaster, those include Camerata New York, Garden State Philharmonic, Long Island Opera, Loft Opera, Central Park Symphony, Adelphi Orchestra, Glen Rock Pop, Livingston Symphony Orchestra TriCities Opera, Syracuse Opera, and most recently-New Jersey Festival Orchestra. Presently, I perform with my "Quartet Alt-Wien”. We perform regularly for major events, weddings, and house concerts in New York, at venues such as The Plaza Hotel, The Pierre, Cipriani, Capitale, Chelsea Piers, Metropolitan Club, and Ziegfeld Ballroom. We have performed for Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and H.R.H. Princess Madeleine and most recently, I have contracted the musical entertainment for, and led the ensemble in performance at American Red Cross’ Gala at Ziegfeld Ballroom at the presence of New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
It brings me immense pride and joy for having received the most stellar reviews from my clients. You may read them at: https://www.thebash.com/classical-violin/xinou-wei-violin-player-of-the-romantic-tradition/feedback
Meanwhile, my warmest wishes!

We are the string band of choice of Richard Clayderman, and had just performd with the legendary pianist in his New York "Timeless Romance" concert at Carnegie Hall.

XinOu Wei Strings. would be a wonderful choice for your occasion. We are virtuosic players that are able to play any selection from the entire repertoire in the highest artistic level-be it pop or classical. We are able to perform as solo violinist, duo, trio quintet, string orchestra, as well as strolling violinist. We certainly are happy and willing to accommodate your musical requests for any particular songs you love. Though Something especially close to my heart is Viennese music. I grew up having them in my ears and it is always a highlight for me when asked to present a evening of Viennese music-waltzes, Polkas, Marches, and Operetta excerpts of Lanner, Strauss, Lehar, Ziehrer Schrammel, and Hellmesberger. Many of these works were originally intended, and realized by small ensembles such as a quartet or quintet in Hotels, Cafes, balls, and soirées in Vienna. My great passion is to recreate that for you, played by a small virtuoso group, as it once was, in that imperial city, in the heyday of emperor Franz Josef.

--------ON TEACHING--------
I have always had a passion, and love for teaching, since my first student about 14 years ago. I still remember vividly that how all the passion accumulated during my own practicing, finally found a way of letting out. Teaching has ever been, a great satisfaction of expressing, and fulfilling myself. Later on, I have had the great honor of teaching at Meadowmount School of Music, as the teaching assistant of the legendary Sally Thomas-whose guidance I owe so much throughout my very own life in music. I have taught, and given masterclasses in some of the nation's leading musical institutions, among others: the Aspen Music Festival and School's PALS program, Meadowmount School of Music, Queens College Summer Music Festival, Center for Musical Excellence, and Rutgers University. I have served as chairman of the Jury/Jury member for New York International Competition for Young Artists, Aaron Copland School of Music of the Queen College Summer Festival Competition, and the Adelphi Orchestra Annual Young Artists Concerto Competition. While currently playing concertmaster for the Camerata New York, Long Island Opera, Adelphi Orhcestra, Garden State Philharmonic, Ars Musica Society, and Central Park Symphony Orchestra, I have always devoted a considerable amount of time solely in my teaching studio. Many of the undergraduate and graduate students from Mannes College, and Manhattan School of Music seek for my help on technical and interpretive matters. I have always found and particular joy teaching adults, who only had the necessary time and energy to music later on in life, and we always maintain a wonderful relationship. The past experience and my constant thinking, had sorted me out a systematic way of teaching violinists of all levels and physical make ups. I do not believe in a particular teaching style, nor method. I believe that it is important that you study the individual, knowing their capacity, character, and respond and achieve the maximum through understanding and repetition. When does correctly, its benefit is enormous. If I ever had a motto, I don't believe there is any shortcut, nor tricks in violin playing, just as in all other aspects in life, as life itself.

My students have won competitions, auditions, and gained admission in some of the most prestigious institutions of the country. Many of the young violinists from Juilliard, Manhattan, and Mannes School, as well as freelancers have come to me for coaching. I also enjoy very much working with enthusiastic adults of all levels.
