Job Summary:

The Practice Manager is responsible for managing staff, operations,budgets, patient access, and patient, physician, and staffsatisfaction. This position assesses current physician practice anddaily operations, identifying areas of improvement by working withand reporting to the Regional Director of Clinical Operations andworking in a triadic partnership with the practice’s MedicalDirector(s) and the department leadership. This position assists indeveloping plans to expand market share, to promote and maintainhigh quality care, to expand and improve upon clinical andtechnical operations, while maintaining top tier patient,physician, and staff satisfaction. This position is alsoresponsible for monitoring financial performance to meet/exceedbudgeted targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assesses and revises, as necessary, an appropriatestaffing/skill mix for the practice and applicable diagnostic andprocedural areas.
  • Assesses and adjusts exam and procedural room assignments tophysicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to maximizeefficiency and improve workflows.
  • In collaboration with HR, ambulatory leadership, and physicianinput, is the final decision maker for all staff hires into thepractice.
  • Monitors usage and oversees the working order and use of stocksupplies.
  • Regularly assesses accessibility and efficiency of triageoperations and adjusts processes accordingly.
  • Regularly assesses front desk operations (reception,registration, scheduling, co-pays, etc.) for accuracy andefficiency and adjusts processes accordingly.
  • Ensures that the service expectations of both internal andexternal customers are met and/or exceeded.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in theDenver Metro

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Healthcare Administration, orNursing.
  • 5+ years job-related/clinic experience.
    • Substitution: A combination of education and relatedtechnical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for thebachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, orNursing Administration.
  • Ambulatory quality improvement (QI) experience.
  • 3+ years of clinic management.
  • Management of budget, purchasing, and/or accounting.
  • Experience in the use of registry data and qualitysystems.
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking.
  • Certified Medical Practice Executive (CPME).
  • Registered Nurse (RN), State of Colorado.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providersissued by the American Heart Association or American Red Crosshealthcare provider level CPR certification) or certificationwithin 90 days of hire.
  • Maintains all required licensure and certifications for theposition.
  • Must be able to work in person.
  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for thisposition has been established as

$83,171 to $105,793.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents theUniversity’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range ofpossible compensation at the time of posting. This position may beeligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
